Recent buys, FOTD, Updates

Hello hello hello! :) Hope everyone has been doing well!

A quick reminder that my one-year giveaway ends in SIX days. The month goes by so quickly, it's kind of scary. Make sure you have followed ALL of the rules. Go back and make sure you filled out all the mandatory fields!

I put up a new banner and my blog has a different color to it now. I know it looks so simple but it actually took a lot of time LOL. I don't know how some bloggers do it, with their fancy fancy fancy blogs! Totally envious, I'm pretty sure this is the best I got for now. I also changed my blog title to "sweetness of each day" because I want all of my days and yours to be filled with sweetness. I hope that my blog entries will be able to capture the sweetness of each of my days.

Enough of the sappy stuff LOL and onto the small haul. So as I stated in this post, I have been on a shopping ban for ~2 months. I was not able to not buy ANYTHING but I did not buy anything for myself that was over $20. In fact, I think the only thing I bought for myself that was ~$20 was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Policy palette. So I didn't go cold turkey but I definitely was not spending $150 at Sephora! I'm really surprised at how well I did... really surprised.

Oh boo, this haul is boring :( And by "small", I meant really small.

Oh hello, horrid lighting not nice to see you again
I got this little bucket at Target for $1 :) It's about 4inches tall (without the handle) and I intend of keeping my brushes in it. The handle is a little crooked but all of them were kind of like that and I don't really mind.

Hello Kitty nail art stickers *HAPPY*. I'm going to do a NOTD soon using one of these. I think I'm going to use the lace stickers for nail tips but we'll see. These were $5 (EEEEEP) at Sephora. Goodness, really expensive for a small sheet of stickers. Why did I let myself do this?! But it's so cute... :( No more of these though. Hello Kitty ANYTHING is so expensive.

Lace eye mask from Target. Also $1. Not the best quality but it's good enough for me. Mostly because it's black and it's light. Because the quality isn't so great, the stretchy band thing isn't too tight, rather loose which I'll enjoy more.

On a random note, there is something new I want to try: Something like these...

Just kidding! But these are pretty crazy, huh? The one on the bottom is by Shu Umura (sp?) and I'm not sure about the top one. Neither are mine, credits to appropriate owners!
I want false lashes that are exactly opposite of the ones I showed, natural looking ones!
Some people argue that false lashes are the most fake things a woman can do to her face. Do you agree?

I also want to share a quick FOTD. I wish I would remember to actually sit down and take these, they never come out the way I want them to... although I don't think my real face justifies the picture at all LOL.

I had my hair pulled back into a messy bun hence... the bald looking head. But today, I liked my scarf and the way my eyeliner turned out.

I'm going to end this entry with...

AHH! 붕어빵! This is a Korean pastry that is in the shape of a goldfish and filled with red bean. It's sweet and fattening, all the things I love.

P.S. :I hate "disqus" or whatever the heck it's called. Why do so many of you guys use it :(

  1. Jane you look so pretty in your FOTD, I definitely know the feeling when it doesn't come out the way you want, that's why I rarely take them also. I also like the new layout, very nice and clean look :)

As for disqus, I use it only because it's easier to reply to individual comments but I like how blogger comments already link to others blogs.

  2. Great haul. I could never stop cold turkey when it comes to shopping either. But that is why I clip coupons, so I can stretch my dollar to the fullest.

I don't know how bloggers with fancy blogs do it either. I have been trying to come up with a banner for my blog but I can't seem to come up with one. Hopefully, I will have one up by February.

    I love your banner btw.

I can't wait to see what you will do with the lace sticker you got from Sephora. $5 is expensive, but it will be worth it... hehe~ :)

  7. I hate disqus as well, I installed it and after 3 2 months I got rid of it! It auto-spammed so many comments. Your pastry looks delicious and wow! Those are some awesome lashes!

  8. I love Target for great deals, especially after the holidays. I'm so glad that Valentine's day is coming up. The stores always put out such adorable things that can be multi-purposed.

I like disqus for the threaded replies. I haven't had many issues with it yet. I had more issues with Blogger's commenting responses (I wouldn't get comment emails until a few days after they were posted).

  10. Omg the hello kitty nail stickers are too cute! And so is the eye mask. I don't think fake eyelashes are fake looking, but I guess it depends on the lashes. I usually don't go for the crazy looks, I use them to fatten up my annoying, thin lashes hehe. And I like Disqus, I use it on my blog. I like that you can reply to people's comments individually, and I haven't had any problems with it yet.

  11. i love your new revamp blog..looks really refresh and lovely =) When I was reading on the part of the "false eyelashes" I was like "omo" and mumbling "seriously she's going to try those?" and as I scroll down..haha..those are crazy indeed..I doubt people would wear those unless if you are a drag queen or you work in theater or something..~ I love your FOTD, very neat and refresh looking..lovely ~^_^~
The fish thingy, is that manjou or mandu or something like that..hehe forgot..we have that too here and people here love them~ Yums..
Re:Retinol cream- I tried it for almost 2 weeks already, as long as you remember to put moisturizer before applying, dryness will not be a problem =)

  15. Since I'm not blessed with long, luscious lashes like some gals, I am pro fake lashes. :P
